Your ally in the mental health movement.
Did you know?
Mental health accessibility scales with privilege!
The fact is…….
We live through our minds just as much as our bodies.
And everyone deserves access to optimal mental health.
Because, unlike our systems, our minds and our bodies do not discriminate
against each other's worthiness when it comes to our overall wellbeing.
And when our systems operate with transparency, predictability and equity, our minds, bodies and relationships benefit.
We strive for a Mental Health Movement that
encompasses individual, cultural and systemic wellness!
Our Vision…
Mental Health Connect envisions a society where its children are enabled to be their authentic selves; where all children are physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually safe; where their creativity is cultivated with equitable opportunities to learn and grow; where all children experience a sense of belonging, trustworthiness and joy in connections with others and nature; and, where they are invited to contribute to problem solving, conflict resolution, and healing in their community.
This vision means that adults surrounding our children must be their authentic selves, including tending to their inner children; physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually safe; have equitable opportunities to learn and grow with creativity; experience a sense of belonging, trustworthiness and joy in connections with others and nature; and embrace problem-solving, conflict resolution, and healing in collaboration with communities, including children.
The Problem in numbers:
Who has access to treatment?
What’s the impact on education?

The importance of mental health isn't baked into our culture like physical health is.
Mental Health Challenges frequently go unrecognized for years. Cultural norms often lead us to seek treatment only when our ailments hit a crisis point.
We're conditioned to quickly seek help for our physical health within support systems that are readily available to most of us.
Vaccines, physicals, and blood-work inoculate and monitor our physical health. Nutrition, exercise, and accessibility aids are baked into our schools and workplaces, often codified into legislature.
And support systems for our mental health maintenance are few and far between in our workplaces and schools.
A primary reason for lack of mental health diagnosis and treatment is due to the systemic barriers to mental health resources.
These norms perpetuate the - often silent - suffering that so many of us go through daily with our mental health.
