To address equity disparities for LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, low-income and other underrepresented populations by fostering transitional-age youth mental health and wellness through a somatic-based trauma-informed approach; prepare mental health professionals to use gender-affirming and identity-based trauma healing modalities; train youth-serving organization, agency and school leaders to be aware of unconscious bias, address microaggressions and shift policies towards authentic equity and inclusivity.
Our Mission and Equity Statement…
We believe that everyone deserves equal access to a healthy mind. And it's not just our belief, the data supports the need for a mental health movement that addresses intergenerational and on-going traumatization experienced by folks in black and brown-bodies; on-going targeted political attacks on the existence of gender non-binary, trans and queer communities; re-ignited attacks on women's rights to make decisions about their bodies; and, healing communities divided by systems of oppression and privilege one relationship at a time so that our youth can grow up in environments free of excessive stress and fear where they can access imagination, creativity, confidence and connection.
